This winter has been so rainy and blustery, and we've seemingly caught every cold and virus available. But today's hike was amazing and springy and the weather was nuts, but the day felt awesome. I think the kids were even energized by the sun breaks and the fresh green air after a winter of cooped up-edness. Great attitudes all around for this awesome waterfall hike.
At about a mile and a half each way, this one is perfect for the little legs. The trail follows the river pretty much the whole way, so there's lots of nice distracting views. Plus there are tons of cool boulders to climb on and huge trees and little side trails to views and now the added bonus of some lovely little wildflowers. Like I said, awesome.
Prepare kiddos that this hike has some up on the way in AND the way out, so save some energy. Or do like we did and hang by the river for a while to enjoy snacks and recharge.
