Poo Poo Point, the long way 'round
Tiger Mountain is covered in a web of trails. Which means there's always new ways. A friend and I adventured today to connect the trailhead by my house all the way to PooPoo Point. It was 8ish miles of solitude and green and even some snow. Wonderful!
PooPoo Point is a super popular destination in the Issaquah Alps region. Generally fantastic views, close to the city, easy to access, not too long but enough to feel the burn a little. We took the back way, which was even longer. The payoff was that we were literally the only people on the entire trail!
As we got up higher we ran into some leftover snow from last weeks weather, and a few untouched pockets of newer fall as well. We weren't exactly prepared for walking in the snow, but we soldiered on and sometimes crawled our way around the icy patches.
A wonderful time complete with hours of open-hearted, honest talk. The kind I only ever find out in nature after I've exhausted my body.
